  • Product Dimensions: ‎‎‎6.7 x 13.8 x 23.6 inches

Noritz NRC66DVNG Tankless Hot Water Heater is a condenser-type heater. That means it uses some of the heat generated by the exhaust to heat the water. This means it’s more efficient than non-condensing units. The exhaust is kept inside the heater until it cools down, which means less exhaust. Additionally, it allows you to utilize various venting methods to let the exhaust out. It can also set a thermostat remotely to adjust the temperature without having to go to the location of the unit.

The drawback to this model of Noritz has been that the unit frequently closes, which can instantly make your water cold. There’s also a difference regarding the quantity of water the team can warm each minute. The product’s label states that it can heat 6.5 gallons per minute, yet its Energy Star rating says it can heat 3.7. We thought it was more like 3.7; however, it was difficult to tell because it was constantly shutting off.

The drawback of the Camplux CM264 model is it has a 2-inch vent pipe that may not conform to the standard building codes in many places, and if you require more, the pipe is nearly impossible to locate. Also, we noticed that the pilot would go out frequently and needed lighting again, and the burners would stop at random while we washed.

  • Small size
  • Safety features
  • Includes adaptors and installation instructions

Cons

10. Marey Power Gas 10L 2.7 GPM Natural Gas Digital Panel Tankless Water Heater

Specifications

  • Manufacturer: Marey
  • Flow Rate: ‎2.7 Gallons Per Minute
  • Item Weight: ‎‎‎‎7 pounds
  • Installation Method: ‎Wall-Mounted
  • Power Source: Gas Powered
  • Material: ‎Stainless Steel
  • Color: Silver
  • Product Dimensions: ‎‎‎‎24 x 7 x 14 inches
  • Temperature Range: 100-185 Degrees Celsius
  • Warranty: ‎1 Year Warranty

The Marey Power Gas 10L 2.7 GPM Natural Gas Digital Panel Tankless Water Heater is yet another light, a mobile tankless heating system that can use both indoors and outdoors. It doesn’t need an electrical outlet but instead operates with D batteries, similar to the heaters designed for RVs. It’s simple to control and has a digital temperature display that gives more accurate readings.

The issue we faced when using Marey Power Gas was that it needed a lot of pressure in the water to allow the igniter to begin the burners. The manufacturer claims 10 PSI is required that is already very excessive. However, our experience suggests it’s more like 20 PSI. Gas can build up inside the chamber before the burners make the sound of an explosion. When we attempted to reach the company regarding our issues, it proved challenging to get anyone. When they finally did respond to the phone, they were not friendly or helpful.

Pros

  • Digital temperature display
  • Compact design
  • Does not require electricity

Cons

  • Requires a lot of water pressure to ignite the burners
  • Gasses build up and make an explosion sound
  • Poor customer service

Eemax Electric Tankless Water Heaters – Where to Buy

Where are Eemax Water Heaters made?

Eemax water heaters were made in Connecticut from the beginning. Rheem heaters can be found in Alabama as well as Mexico, China and Australia. However, Eemax heater manufacturing is not planned to be moved to these locations.

Types of Eemax water heaters

Eemax, despite being owned by Rheem, is still a manufacturer of electric water heaters. These heaters are smaller than their gas counterparts and are best suited for small homes. They can also be used as boosters to support the central water heater when hot-water needs are high.

Eemax manufactures several series of tankless water heaters. However, most of them are intended for industrial, light commercial or heavy commercial use. The HomeAdvantage II tankless water heater is the only one for residential use. In addition, mini Tank models are available for homeowners who only need a few gallons.

Review of Eemax Tankless Water Heater from Consumers

Eemax water heaters are overwhelmingly well-received by customers who are happy with their purchase. The heater has no problems for the first few years or more. They also have low purchase costs and require very little maintenance.

Eemax tankless heaters are known for their attractive appearance. The HomeAdvantage II series heaters are modern and sleek. They are made for indoor use to be seen from a window or next to a cabinet. It is beautiful in both bathrooms and kitchens. It also protects your heater from any damage, thereby extending its life expectancy.

You also get the attractive appearance of heaters, even the more powerful models. They are more flexible and easier to install.

The final technological feature is advanced water control, computer logic controls and temperature sensors. These features provide water temperature modulation and help prevent fluctuating flow rates. This eliminates cold water sandwiches, which can be particularly annoying while showering.

Eemax Heaters Customer Service

Eemax provides customer service to help you troubleshoot, check the status of your order or choose the right water heater. You can call customer service during business hours or email to submit an online request.

Eemax Heaters Warranty

Eemax water heaters come with a five-year warranty against leakage and a one-year warranty against parts. Unfortunately, this warranty is limited. You won’t get it if your heater is damaged by misuse, alteration or negligence, or exposed to fire, flooding, floods or any other type of natural disaster.

The water heater must be installed by the manufacturer’s instructions and your building code. If you move the water heater within the warranty period, it will be void.

Eemax wouldn’t honour your warranty if your water heater were subject to conditions that made it turn on before it had purged of air or if it was subject to water pressure or flow interruptions.

Eemax Electric Tankless Water Heaters: Installation

It is straightforward to install your Eemax heater after you have taken out your old water heater. First, you will need to connect a water supply to the heater. The heater is supplied with an electric cord. The process is speedy due to the lack of venting.

If you have to modify your home to meet higher voltage requirements, this is an exception. You will need to hire a professional to remodel your home. A professional should be hired to do the installation. This will ensure your warranty is maintained and the wiring is correctly installed.

Although it may seem like a lot of work, once you have the heater installed, you will find it far more comfortable than relying on a tank water heater. Your utility bills will also be lower.

Eemax Tankless Water Heater Repair and maintenance

Eemax water heaters are rarely in trouble and never require major repairs. Customers can get help from a dedicated technical support team to identify minor issues. To avoid having to call a technician, they will walk you through fixing the problem yourself. It is possible to repair or replace the water heater parts yourself.

Hard water can cause many maintenance problems in water heaters. This is due to lime buildup or calcification. Eemax water heaters are immune to this problem, as they keep their units clean. In addition, the water flow system is patented and removes all particles from heating elements, even when they are heating water. This reduces maintenance and increases the longevity of heating elements.

This technology leads to a longer life span for the whole water heater. Eemax water heaters have a 10-year warranty. This is higher than the industry norm. Customers often find their Eemax still runs smoothly after 20 years.

Hot water in the future | Titan Electric Tankless Water Heater

Since the beginning of the 20th century, electric tank water heaters were used in residential and commercial properties. Conventional electric heaters use a heating element to heat water and a storage tank to keep the water warm until it is needed. As a result, they have virtually remained unchanged throughout the years. However, there are some severe drawbacks to this process.

Coldwater starts to flow into a tank as soon as the water is required from a traditional tank. The cold water dilutes the tank’s heat. The temperature of the water in the tank drops as more water is taken from it. Eventually, the water temperature will drop enough to be uncomfortable to use (showering). This inefficient process means that a 60-gallon tank will only hold 45 gallons of hot water. As a result, 15 gallons of hot water are lost when cold street water is added during usage. Once this happens, it is necessary to wait for the heater to return all the water to the tank to a safe temperature. This is known as the “refresh” (or “recharge”) rate.

Traditional water heaters are typically set at extremely high temperatures, 130 to 140F, to increase the refresh rate and decrease the temperature drops during drawdown. Tank-type heaters are designed to heat stored water to a high temperature to ensure hot water. This temperature is much higher than what is safe to use for showering and other household purposes. This water must be heated first, then cooled by adding cold water to make the water comfortable. This means that you pay electricity to heat the water at a higher temperature than what you use. You must also pay for hot water throughout the day. Not just when it is needed, but all day. This leads to a lot of wasted energy and even more wasted money.

A conventional heater also continuously radiates heat (loss) continuously, contributing to the heating rate and energy consumption. This heat loss is commonly referred to as “standby” heat loss. Even modern tanks can suffer significant standby heat loss. Conventional heaters are equipped with both upper and lower heating elements. One of these heating elements can be turned on and off 24 hours a day, even when you aren’t home. Energy consumption can be slashed by as little as 30% by eliminating standby heat loss. It also saves tons of space!

Tankless water heaters are entirely on-demand. A sensor detects hot water demand when a hot water faucet turns on. The sensor switches on the heating elements. A computer chip determines the correct power output for the elements based upon the user’s heat setting, flow rate, and other parameters. The heating elements heat up, and the water leaves the unit at the temperature desired. This takes only seconds. The tankless water heater will continue to heat water until the faucet is shut off. The unit will shut off when the flow sensor senses that the water is not flowing. If hot water is not required, no energy is used. Standby heating losses are eliminated. A tankless water heater does not have a refresh rate and is instantaneous. This means that water is not heated to 130F or 140F as often as conventional tanks. The output temperature can be set to match your actual needs, usually around 105F. This saves you a lot of energy.

A second problem with traditional water heaters is their vulnerability to minerals, sediments, age, and other factors. A traditional tank-type water heater has a lifespan of fewer than 12 years in North America. Most tanks are sent to the dump after their short service lives. This is not an environmentally friendly or cost-effective option. Tankless water heaters have a much longer service life. The life expectancy of electric tankless water heaters is much greater.

You might not know that the Titan Tankless has health benefits. If the water tank is not heated enough to kill them, bacteria and viruses can grow. Water heaters were responsible for the recent legionella outbreak. Titans do not have this problem because there is no water storage.

What Titan model is the best for me?

When choosing a Titan Tankless Water Heater, there are many factors to consider. These include your location, incoming temperature, climate, hot water needs, electrical system support, unit power, flow rate, and how your electric system can handle it. As the unit’s temperature output can be adjusted, it is good to choose the most potent Titan that your electrical system can handle. Here is a guide. Click on the model to see additional information.

Our most popular model is the Titan N120 for average size homes (3 BR, 2.5 BTH). It is recommended for Southern states like Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. You can use it in apartments and condos if the dwellings are capable of supporting it electrically. If you need to upgrade the hot water temperature, you can go for the SCR3, N160 model. Finally, the N-180 model is recommended for larger homes or homes with high hot water demand (e.g., multiple shower heads, jacuzzi tubs) in the Southern states.

The Titan is specifically designed to be used in new apartments and homes where the lower voltage of 208VAC in mains has recently been implemented. It has modern bathroom fixtures such as Press Balancing Mixing Valves and Flow Restricted Single-Handle Valves. It can also provide an upgrade to the N-120 model’s water temperature.

The Titan is compatible with most states in the U.S.A., except Alaska and the extreme Northern States, which have freezing incoming water (MTWY, SD, ND), IA, WI. It’s great for larger Southern homes, high hot water demands, or homes with unique requirements.

The Titan N210 is one of the most powerful Titans, except for our N270 model. It can be used in nearly all areas of the country, as well as Canada. Two 50 AMP breakers will be required with 6 gauge wiring. This is the ultimate tankless water heater.

Titan N270 is one of the most powerful Titans ever made. It can be used in all residential areas of the United States and Canada. Two 60 AMP breaker boxes with 6 gauge wiring will be required. This is an excellent option for homes with significant hot water demands, such as multi-shower heads or jacuzzi tubs. This is the best tankless hot water heater.

Our most popular model for apartments and condos in Florida, Louisiana, and Southern Texas is the Titan N85. You only need a 40-amp breaker. Titans can be used in mobile homes, boats, and anywhere else hot water is required.

Other models (N-100 to N-64 and N-42) are also available for those applications that require the Titan to be tailored to specific locations or point-of-use applications.

Our low-power model, the Titan N-10, operates on 110-120V. It can only supply warm water. It can be used as a small sink or half bath.

Before and after

The Titan Tankless can replace your entire hot-water tank and mount right on the wall. Mounting brackets are included and require no venting. You can enjoy never-ending hot water, and you will save a lot of electrical energy. Consider all the storage and space you can create from replacing your tank. REMOVE! A Titan is a modern way to heat water.

Tankless Buying Guide

Rheem has the best water heaters, but it is essential to select the right one to ensure you have hot water all the time. These are the four steps to help you choose the right tankless gas water heater or tankless electric water heater.

1. Understand Your Options

There are two main types of tankless water heaters available: electric and gas. These include both propane (LP) and natural gas (LP). They can also be used in whole-home or point-of-use configurations. Although they are more affordable to run, gas tankless water heaters require venting. Outdoor models are a notable exception. Because they don’t require venting and require only a dedicated electrical circuit, electric tankless water heaters are easier to install. The most important thing to consider is where you will use the hot water.

  • A point-of-use electric water heater is the best choice for a single place, such as a bathroom, sink, garage, or workshop.
  • Choose the water heater that best suits your whole-home application, whether electric, natural gas, or liquid propane.

2. Calculate the Temperature Degree Rise Based On Your Location

The average temperature of the water supply inlet can vary by location, so the ideal tankless water heater might not work in the north. A tankless gas heater may work well at 8,000 feet but not at 12,000 feet.

The degree of rising in your area is the difference between your desired temperature and the inlet temperature (105deg-60deg=45deg).

3. Add Up Your Simultaneous Hot Water Needs

The GPM (gallons per minute) that you and your family require will determine how much water your tankless heater must deliver (e.g., A water heater must be able to provide at least 5.5 GPM (2.0+2.0+1.5=5.5).

4. Check the Specs

Each tankless water heater’s product information page (or spec sheet) lists the gallons per hour at specific degree increases.

  • Find the line that corresponds to your degree increase from step 2 on the GPM chart. This will show you how many GPM water heaters will produce at this degree rise.
  • Compare the GPM total you require from step 3 to the one in the chart.

5. Consider Unique Features and Benefits

Some features are unique enough that they can only be found on specific models.

  • Rheem tankless water heating system with recirculation is a good choice if you need instant hot water.
  • A Rheem outdoor tankless water heater is a great way to make your home more spacious.
  • Eco Net Enabled models allow you to control your water temperature and monitor the status of your system remotely.

Simplify with point-of-use water heating

Point-of-use tankless water heaters provide hot water at your fingertips. Point-of-use tankless hot water heating is a great option for homeowners as it saves time and water resources.

Point-of-use heaters can be installed as close to hot water appliances as possible. The heater provides exactly the amount and temperature of hot water that is required. Although it might sound strange to place an electric tankless water heater at the point of use, they are much smaller than traditional tank water heaters. This allows homeowners to place the unit under the sink it feeds, saving space in the house.

Point-of-use heaters also save significant amounts of energy. Tankless point-of-use heaters do not heat water 24 hours a day like traditional tank water heaters. Instead, they heat water only when the faucet or shower are turned on. This eliminates the standby heat loss of thousands of hours and allows energy to be used only to heat water when needed.

Save at the sink

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, an average tap uses approximately 2 gallons per minute. Water waste can rise if you don’t do the dishes or cook. It is crucial to ensure your home is sustainable and efficient by ensuring hot water is available at all times.

Point-of-use heaters don’t turn off the tap for you. However, once you do, these heaters ensure that no energy is wasted at your sink. In addition, modern units heat up much faster than older models and provide hot water to faucets far quicker than tank water heating systems.

About that HOT shower

What was the last time you turned on the shower and waited for it to change from cold to hot water? We’ve all been there. It can be frustrating to wait. Water will be wasted more often if it is too far from your tank heater and your shower. According to the California Energy Commission, since 1970, the distance between the heater and the nearest hot water fixture has increased by 30 to 80 feet. It can take you up to three times longer to get hot water from traditional heaters.

Point-of-use water heaters provide hot water to showers immediately. How does it work? The heater can be installed near the shower to eliminate time lag and water waste. This saves time, money, water and energy. You will enjoy a better experience and a higher level of comfort in your home.
